“The project involves the relocation of the sewage treatment plant serving the settlements of Sava and Manduria. More precisely, the project involves:
– the construction at the existing sewage treatment plant in Manduria of an equalization tank and a lift station;
– the construction of a sewage adduction pipeline from the site of the old plant to the new sewage treatment plant in Urmo Belsito;
– the construction of a new sewage treatment plant, complete with a system for refining the treated water using membranes;
– the construction of a sewage pipeline;
– the construction of the final discharge by means of draining trenches. In the same area, it is planned to build a storage tank for the refined water to enable its reuse in agriculture.”
