“The intervention involved the construction of three sewage treatment plants serving the Albanian coastal cities of Durres, Lezha&Shengjin and Saranda. The basic choice was to adopt unconventional methods that took into consideration the treatment capabilities of natural wetlands.
The Durrës sewage treatment plant, in light of the city’s growing size, also provides for conventional treatment.
The capacities of the three plants are as follows:
– Durres: 250,000 A.E. (60,000 m3/d)
– Lezha&Shengjin: 51,000 A.E. (12,240 m3/d)
– Saranda: 60,000 A.E: (14,400 m3/d)
The company also operated the Durazzo sewage treatment plant from 01/06/2011 to 31/05/2013.”
