“The intervention involved the upgrading of the Cluj-Napoca sewage treatment plant to a capacity of 367,000 A.E.
The works substantially covered the entire sewage treatment plant, both with regard to the water line (with upgrades to pre-treatment, primary sedimentation, oxidative compartment and final sedimentation) and with regard to the sludge line. For the latter, in particular, the intervention included the construction of 4 anaerobic digesters of 7,000 m3 each. The biogas produced is used for combined heat and power generation by two 310 kW cogeneration units.”
