“The project involved the construction of the new depuyration plant serving ValTrompia. Specifically, the new plant is proposed to serve the municipalities of Bovegno, Pezzaze, Tavernole sul Mella, Lodrino, Marcheno, Gardone Val Trompia, Sarezzo, Lumezzane, Polaveno, Villa Carcina, and Concesio, with a total capacity of 138,000 A.E.
The heart of the proposed plant is the ultrafiltration section (MBR). The compartment consists of 8 trains of 10 cassettes each of hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes.
Special attention has been paid since the design stage to the landscaping of the works. The water purifier, in fact, is built inside a prefabricated shed, totally covered with a green roof. The cover slopes, then, toward the nearby Mella River by means of a masking mound.”
